Below Deck Med: Malia Is Taking On The Haters With Facts.

Malia White shared an Instagram post to defend her actions in the drug scandal involving Hannah Ferrier on the lower deck of the Mediterranean. A week after she deleted her drug rant and cited Maritime law,, the boatswain speaks out with facts about the law and illicit drugs. Malia is over the reaction of the fans, but still stands by her actions.

This week she has shown a gap in fan loyalty. It’s Hannah versus Malia and Captain Sandy. The latter also maintains the hatred of the fans as she continues to side with Malia at the Bravo show and Hannah seems to be firing in the next episode.

Below Deck Med: Malia Is Taking On The Haters With Facts.

Malia White’s IG-post contained a part of the contract that all crew members must sign before boarding a yacht. She started her message by saying that fans can hate her, but facts are facts. The boatswain then declared her case for turning Hannah into Captain Sandy for having valium on The Wellington.

“I never said you can’t get medication. You just have to follow proper procedures to protect ALL crew members.” “The captain of the ship has a right to know who’s taking what and when! They operate a ship at sea with everyone’s life in their hands.”

Malia explained that four Below Deck Med cast members have come forward with their struggles and need for medication. Hannah, Jessica More, Bugsy Drake and Peter Hunziker all spoke about their mental health problems and the need for medication.

“It’s ESSENTIAL that we as a crew are responsible for the medication. It’s a pretty simple policy that’s put in place to protect us NOT to exclude anyone,” Malia said. “As for illegal drugs- it doesn’t matter if they’re legal in whatever country we’re in… we operate under the flag of the flag state where the boat is registered, which is zero tolerance.

She thanked her crew members for speaking out about their fight. Malia White wants them to know they’re not alone. She also hopes that her post-crew members will understand their contracts better.

Below Deck Med: It Is Her Job

Malia White reiterated that her job was to expose Hannah Ferrier. “I apologize if I didn’t report or handle the situation to the best of my ability, but it was also a huge learning curve for me. Please understand that this is my career and I take the rules very seriously,” she said.

The boatswain reminded all crew members to deal with the problems with their contract before signing it. The laws are in place to protect the crew, not to hurt them.

Finally, like Captain Sandy, Malia is reminding fans that there is more to Bravo than just what happens on the show. “Consider also the sequence of events you witness on TV is the condensed version, so the timeline may seem a little dramatic! I’m not looking for anybody. I’m here to do my job,” she said.
