Kailyn Lowry Discusses Hesitations About Marrying Elijah Scott

Kailyn Lowry is known from “Teen Mom 2.” She recently discussed possibly marrying her partner, Elijah Scott. They have twins together, which would make their family have seven children.

Despite Kailyn Lowry being married before, she and Scott have talked about getting married. However, Lowry has reservations about it. Lowry shared her feelings about marriage and the challenges she faces in setting a wedding date during a conversation on the “Baby Mamas No Drama” podcast with Vee Rivera.

Lowry said that Scott has proposed many times, and she has said yes. But she struggles with planning a wedding and deciding on a date. “He’s asked me to marry him so many times,” Lowry said. “I say yes, and then he’ll be like, OK, let’s set a date, let’s do this, let’s do that. And then that’s where I’m struggling.”

Lowry is hesitant because she doesn’t want to rush into marriage without thinking about what it really means. She would rather have a lifelong commitment that doesn’t involve a formal wedding.

Kailyn Lowry Opens Up About Marriage Hesitations with Elijah Scott

Kailyn Lowry also talked about how their family backgrounds affect their views on marriage. She mentioned that Scott’s positive view of marriage comes from seeing his parents have a long-lasting marriage.

In contrast, Kailyn Lowry has had difficult family relationships. “His parents are still married, so he’s seen his parents overcome — and I don’t know what they’ve been through — but I’m sure he’s seen his parents overcome everything,” Lowry said. This difference in their upbringing has contributed to their different opinions about marriage and commitment.

Besides her concerns about marriage, Kailyn Lowry wants to focus on being a mother to her seven children. She wants to enjoy being a parent with Scott before considering getting engaged or married.

Lowry’s past marriage experience has made her cautious about rushing into another marriage. “I’ve already kind of done marriage once, and I f***ed it up royally. So, I’m a little hesitant,” she told People. Lowry believes that if their relationship is meant to last, they don’t need to rush into marriage.
