Royal Family: Can Kate Middleton Become Queen After Queen Elizabeth Dies?

It’s easy to believe that Queen Elizabeth II has the most power of any royal family. She is, after all, the reigning monarch. However, according to one royal expert, Kate Middleton’s influence should not be overlooked. In fact, the expert believes that the Duchess of Cambridge may be the ‘most powerful’ royal woman today.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has forced many people to rethink how they approach work. In Kate’s case, the Duchess has been able to make the most of a difficult situation.

For example, when the UK was locked down, she continued to carry out her royal duties. Like many people around the world, Kate Middleton jumped on Zoom to work with charities and promote important causes.

In addition, Kate Middleton worked with the National Portrait Gallery to publish a collection of photographs, Hold Still. The book, released in May 2021, features 100 images documenting life in the UK during the pandemic.

Royal Family: Can Kate Middleton Become Queen After Queen Elizabeth Dies?

Kate and William are much more popular than Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, who are the next heirs to the throne. According to the polling firm YouGov, Kate and William are ranked 4th and 3rd in popularity respectively. Meanwhile, Charles and Camilla are ranked 6th and 10th respectively.

Much has been asked whether, after Queen Elizabeth’s death, the crown could stay between Charles and jump straight to the Cambridges. However, there does not seem to be any royal support for this.
