Kody Brown and Meri Brown of the TLC Sister Wives have been fighting in their marriage for years.
But in Season 14, their conflict went mostly under the radar, while the polygamous Brown family struggled with more immediate problems, such as their complicated move from Las Vegas to Flagstaff. Kody’s ongoing problems with his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, over rent or home purchase have always occupied much of his attention.
But in an anticipation of the upcoming April 5th episode of Sister Wives, “Baby Steps”, it seems that Meri Brown and Kody’s failed (or even already shattered) marriage will finally be the center of attention.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown And Meri Brown Have Been At Odds For Years
Meri and Kody have been open for several seasons of Sister Wife because of their ongoing marital strife. First, Meri was unsure whether she could undergo in vitro fertilization treatment after a long period of infertility. Kody eventually decided that he did not want to undergo fertility treatments to have another child with his first wife.
A few years later, in 2014, Meri and Kody legally divorced in order to marry his fourth wife, Robyn, and adopt her three children from a previous marriage. The legal divorce had a negative impact on Meri. She got involved with a catfish online (a woman, Jackie Overton, posing as a man), with whom she had a romantic relationship.
Since then, Kody Brown has said that his relationship with Meri is not romantic and implied that they no longer spend the night together. This season, the star Sister Wives told the other three wives that Meri wanted them to “bow at her feet” and that she had “always been like that”.
“It’s all coming out,” a voice-over heard, as Meri and Kody returned to Las Vegas for a date with their marriage counselor.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown Tells Her Therapist That Her Marriage To Kody Brown İs ‘dead’ And ‘over’
The peek doesn’t get any less tense or excruciating from there. It looks like Kody Brown and Meri Brown are on the verge of something, whether it’s reconciliation, divorce, or an important discussion.
In a counseling session with their marriage and family therapist, Meri puts everything on the table. “The relationship between him and me is gone. He’s dead. It’s over,” she complains.
Even the counselor seems a little shocked by Meri’s admission. “Are you serious?” she asks quietly.
Meanwhile, Kody seems to be at the end of his rope after years of marital problems with Meri. “I’m done hearing how wrong I am,” says the patriarch of the Sisters Wives.
