Sister Wives: Kody Brown And Meri Brown Visited Their Marriage Counselor On Sister Wives

Sister Wives star Kody Brown admitted to “regret” his marriage to his first wife Meri, claiming he was “deceived” by an affair with her.

Kody and Meri traveled to Las Vegas to visit their therapist on Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives.

Meri Brown revealed that their relationship has been “pretty rocky for a while” and that they are “trying to be nice to each other”. But Kody admitted that even though they are family, they are “not married”.

She said, “He doesn’t want to go on trying to work things out with me until everyone else is okay.”

Kody explained that while she “has great relationships wherever she goes in business,” she “doesn’t have great relationships with the family.”

He continued, “How can I have a relationship with someone I don’t want to have a relationship with after years of knowing because of the pain and struggle. I don’t blame Meri. I’m saying we’re trying to heal a deep wound in a sick body. It’s a challenge.

He added, shockingly enough: “Meri Brown mourns the loss of what we had… I’m sorry for what we had.”

Meri Brown said: “The relationship he and I had, it’s dead, it’s gone, it’s over. I want a relationship with him.”

Then he beat Meri Brown for “to the victim stand” if he tries to have honest conversations. He kept shooting: “I feel like I’ve been cheated in a relationship that was very different from what I expected. Meri and I had a fast relationship with a lot of expectations and a lot of non-communication.

I didn’t know who I was marrying.” As things evolved, I started to be upset and bitter about the situation I was in.

Despite the problems, Kody Brown admitted that he and Meri “are not interested in a breakage” because “why break something if it can be repaired”.

Although Meri claimed that she has a wall, she still feels hope, while Kody found the session “productive”.

But it doesn’t seem that Kody and Meri have improved since the session. Meri Brown hasn’t posted photos alone with her husband since January 2019.

On Sunday, Meri Brown posted on Instagram: “There’s more to life than being a passenger.” She also posted, “Tell the story of the mountain you climbed. Your words can become a page in someone else’s survival guide.”

Kody and Meri got married in 1990 and took in a daughter, Mariah. He then married Janelle in 1993, Christine in 1994 and Robyn in 2014.

Kody Brown divorced Meri, his only legal wife at the time, in 2014 to adopt Robyn’s children from a previous marriage.

Later, Meri Brown was involved in a catfish scandal in which she fell in love with another man on the Internet who ended up becoming a woman. In a recent episode, Meri was brought to tears when she found her marriage certificate.

When Robyn joked about “burning” theirs, Meri cried in her confessional: “It’s good in my heart”. That’s why I keep it.”
