Robyn Brown has been under fire ever since Sister Wives fans uncovered her massive spending on dolls and accessories.
According to online sleuths, Robyn has spent more than $62,000 on dolls through her Etsy account over the past few years.
She reportedly made nearly 500 purchases, with over 100 transactions in 2024 alone.
Some of the custom doll dresses cost hundreds of dollars each-one purchase was a Bridgerton-inspired doll outfit for $595.
“That’s straight-up a down payment on a house!” Mykelti Brown said in her latest YouTube video after hearing about Robyn’s expenses.
“That pays off any vehicle we’ve ever owned!”
Her husband, Tony Padron, was also shocked, exclaiming:
“Damn! $62,000?!”
Many Sister Wives fans were upset. They noticed Robyn and Kody Brown often said they were having money troubles. Meanwhile, other members of the Brown family-including Kody’s ex-wives and children-were left scraping by.
So where did all the money go? It seems a large chunk was funneled into Robyn’s doll obsession.
I. Don’t. Like. Mykelti! I know no one asked me, but I just thought everyone should know. #SisterWives pic.twitter.com/aAFaQn9iWu

Sister Wives: Mykelti Brown Defends Robyn-But Fans Aren’t Convinced
Despite the backlash, Mykelti Brown has come to Robyn Brown’s defense, offering an explanation that many fans still find hard to swallow.
In a recent YouTube video, Mykelti claimed Robyn’s spending had a “sentimental” reason behind it.
“I’m always playing Devil’s Advocate,” she admitted before saying, “I’m not going to go into the story because it’s not my story.”
She suggested that Robyn’s doll collection held a deep emotional meaning and was connected to “some very special people” in her life.
“So, I know it sounds absurd and that is a lot of money, so I don’t necessarily support that much money … but I support the heart behind it.”
While Mykelti tried to paint Robyn’s spending as sentimental, many fans weren’t buying it.
“I don’t care what the reason is-no one needs to spend $62K on dolls while claiming they’re broke,” one fan wrote.
“Meanwhile, Janelle had to live in an RV because she couldn’t afford a home. But sure, let’s buy more doll dresses,” another added.
Sister Wives: Kody & Robyn Brown’s Money Problems: Where Did It All Go?
The controversy around Robyn’s spending isn’t new.
Kody and Robyn Brown frequently claimed they didn’t have money-even when it came to supporting their children.
In past episodes, Kody refused to help pay for his daughter Ysabel’s spinal surgery, citing financial struggles.
Janelle Brown lived in an RV because she couldn’t afford to build on Coyote Pass, while Meri Brown was denied funds to buy her family’s inn.
Meanwhile, Robyn and Kody Brown lived in a $1.7 million mansion and now, it turns out, Robyn was spending near-rent-check amounts on doll accessories.
Even some of Kody’s children have spoken out about his and Robyn’s reckless spending habits:
“I think that my dad and Robyn have a terrible habit of spending very crazy and not within their means at all,” Gwendlyn Brown revealed in 2023.
Maddie Brown also confirmed, “When we got our tax returns when I was younger, my parents immediately spent it on something.”

Sister Wives: Robyn Makes Her Etsy Profile Private Amid Backlash
In the wake of this scandal, Robyn Brown has since made her Etsy account private-but the damage is already done.
Fans are now questioning whether she will address the controversy publicly or continue to ignore the backlash.
“She can hide her purchases, but we all know the truth now,” one fan commented.
“She let Kody’s ex-wives and kids struggle while spending thousands on dolls? Unreal,” another added.
As for Mykelti’s defense? While she may have meant well, most fans aren’t convinced that spending over $62K on dolls is justifiable-no matter the reason.
