Could A ‘Sister Wives’ Spinoff Be In The Works?

Could A ‘Sister Wives’ Spinoff Be In The Works?

The split between Christine Brown and Kody Brown has been all Sister Wives fans have been talking about lately. Tales of the big announcement have been overshadowed by discussions about the show’s upcoming season.

However, with the season premiere already upon us, fans can’t help but wonder what Christine Brown’s departure could mean for the future of the series.

While Sister Wives fans were fairly certain that Meri Brown would be the woman to divorce Cody first, Christine Brown beat her to the punch. Fans are now taking a fresh look at the couple’s marriage and believe the end was on the horizon for years. Christine’s own family seem to agree.

Christine’s aunt, Kristyn Decker, has been an outspoken opponent of polygamy since her polygamous marriage. She has been even more outspoken since Christine Brown’s announcement. In a recent podcast, Decker said that in her opinion, Christine Brown may have been unhappy from the start of her marriage. Christine’s own words confirm this theory. Last season, Christine Brown stated that she was still bothered by Kody’s refusal to shower in her apartment while living in Utah. Although Kody seemed to object that it was more than just showering, Christine said she never felt that they were building a life together. Rather, she felt that her husband was simply “stopping by” and actually “living” with his other wives. Over the course of the season, Christine shared more of what bothered her about plural marriage. Her confessions left fans sad for her.

The announcement of the split between Christine Brown and Kody Brown was well-timed, fans say. The mother of six and her husband announced the end of their relationship just three weeks before the new season of Sister Wives was due to air.

Fans assumed the end of the marriage was coming months before the official announcement. If TLC had a say in the timing of the announcement, it could mean that the breakup will not affect the future of the series. At least, it won’t affect it negatively.

Christine Brown seems pretty confident that TLC will show the split in future seasons. She told fans on Facebook that she can’t talk about her family life during Live because that would be a slogan for the show.

Since the last season was filmed long before Christine moved to Utah, fans have taken this revelation to mean that future seasons are in the works. TLC, however, has not announced whether the show will continue after season 16. However, this is not unusual.

Could A ‘Sister Wives’ Spinoff Be In The Works?

The Brown family originally set out to show the world how good polygamy could be. The mission, fans claim, has failed. Now it seems they are changing direction.

Instead of showing the world the positives of polygamy, they’re letting viewers watch a marriage fall apart. Viewers are certainly here, but they are more interested in a possible spinoff. Over the years, fans of Sister Wives have indicated that they would love to see a spinoff that would follow the release of one woman from the Brown family. The time is now, but is a spinoff in the works? So far, it doesn’t look like it. That doesn’t mean it will never happen.
