On October 7, Maddie, 28, shared a message on her Instagram stories that many believe was aimed directly at Kody.

The post read, “A piece of advice. Never re-friend or re-family anyone who tried to ruin your character, integrity, or relationships. A snake only sheds its skin to be a bigger snake.”

This cryptic quote didn’t go unnoticed by Sister Wives fans, who speculated that it was a pointed dig at Kody, given the timing.

Maddie’s issues with her father run deep. Her three children, Axel, Evie, and Joey, barely know their grandfather. Kody has only met Axel and Evie in person.

He was reportedly furious when he found out about Maddie’s third pregnancy through the grapevine, rather than from Maddie herself. “Why would she tell him personally?” some fans have asked, defending Maddie’s choice to keep her distance.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Faces Backlash for His Strained Family Relationships

Kody Brown, who once had four wives and 18 kids, now struggles to maintain relationships with his older children, especially those from his marriages to Meri, Christine, and Janelle Brown.
