90 Day Fiance revealed that Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh had ceased to exist – but then we were reminded again. Sumit has stretched with everything, and it was no different. Jenny Slatten remarked, “What if the borders open up and they won’t extend my visa anymore?” She noted that if the borders open, she potentially wants to be in the US with Sumit. Sumit, however, was at it again, dragging his feet, and she had to practically drag him over to get his passport reissued.

Why doesn’t Sumit Singh have a passport? Because his ex-brother-in-law took his passport and said that when he was fully divorced, he would get his passport back. Now that Sumit is fully and legally divorced, his sisters say they don’t have it. Given how much mind games both her parents and her sisters seem to be playing, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just hold on to the passport until Sumit Singh “came to his senses” and “remarries” their daughter.

Knowing Sumit Singh’s parents-in-law, the passport is probably firmly in her mother-in-law’s back pocket, or maybe it’s just in her mother’s purse, no one has ever thought to check it, but I wouldn’t put it past either of them.

When Sumit Singh explained that he needed to re-issue his passport, the officer was very understanding and simply said that all it would take is for someone to come to Sumit’s home and interview them and verify that they live at the address he provided, this would take about a month, and then Sumit would also have to apply for it online.

Other than that, getting a passport was quite easy. Jenny Slatten says Sumit seems almost afraid of the process, and in the end he submitted his ultimatum, she said: “If you’re not going to marry me, just tell me now so I can go back to the US.” This was the first time he had said anything like this to Sumit.

Sumit assured her that he would marry her, but whenever he says something, it always seems so half-hearted, as if he doesn’t really want to because he doesn’t want to disappoint his parents.
