90 Day Fiancé fans were treated to a dramatic coffee date between reality stars Darcey Silva and Tom Brooks recently. Unfortunately, the conversation the two shared was not particularly productive. Both stars conveyed their grievances in the relationship. In the end, they failed to heal the rift that had been created between them and they separated. However, Tom Brooks made one last attempt to separate from Darcey Silva at the end of the conversation – he asked her if she had gained weight. Suffice it to say that many fans were furious with the star, and Silva was not at all pleased. Now, Brooks claims that the moment is largely the result of editing TLC.
90 Day Fiance: Tom Takes Jab At Darcey Silva
Tom Brooks and Darcey Silva failed to settle things during their coffee appointment in a recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before 90 Days. The two got together to discuss their relationship, which had been in decline lately.
Unfortunately, the two were unable to see eye to eye. Tom Brooks felt as if Silva had never allowed him to say a word. He also explained that he thinks she’s worried about Jesse Meester, her ex, and that he’s become a liability.
Brooks explained, “She was so worried about other things. It was really hard for me to listen to Jesse’s story all the time.” Tom Brooks also explained to Darcey Silva that he loves her like a sister. He said, “Your idea and your notion of love is not me. You had it with him. But I love you in a different way. I love you like my sister.”
In the end, it became clear that the two would not be able to reconcile. Darcey Silva and Tom Brooks split up, and in one last jab Brooks asked Silva, “Have you put on weight? To his credit, Silva maintained his composure until after Brooks left, despite the bad comment.
90 Day Fiance: Tom Claims İt Was Editing
Tom Brooks then apologized for the event. In his first apology, he said that Darcey Silva had called him fat in the past. It didn’t go very well with the fans, especially since it wasn’t an apology, but an attempt to “catch you”.
The 90 Day Fiancé star eventually cancelled his first apology, replacing it with one that said, “I’m not perfect. I make mistakes. We all make mistakes, we all said things we wish we could take back, unfortunately we can’t. I recognise that what I did was very inappropriate! I am truly sorry for what I said and I take full responsibility for it. The editing is out of context, but if I hadn’t said it could not have been used”.
Tom Brooks then turned to his story on Instagram to further state that it was the most guilty montage. He wrote: “The truth is that they edited hell out of the scene… it was one of the first things I said after the first 20 takes of her jacket falling to come into the building to meet me … I was like going on … followed by the scene you saw “you put on weight”, it’s out of context and cut to create a drama I can only apologize again to her and anyone who was offended by the scene”.
