1000-Lb Sisters spoilers hint that Tammy Slaton may have lost enough weight to qualify for weight loss surgery.
Tammy Slaton watched with envy as her sister Amy Slaton qualified for weight loss surgery at 1000-Lb Sisters. But although Tammy wanted the procedure, she repeatedly failed to stick to her diet. However, one insider told The Sun that Slaton eventually stuck to her diet long enough to qualify. As a result, Tammy even set a date for her weight loss surgery. And the source revealed that it will take place in June in Atlanta. But insiders are also surprised by the update on Slaton’s progress.
After difficulties at home, Tammy recently went into rehab for food addiction. And the 35-year-old woman had to leave for surgery in August. However, Tammy has coped so well that she can finish treatment much sooner, according to a source. And that means she’ll get the operation before even her doctors predicted.
Like her sister Amy Slaton, the procedure Tammy is undergoing is known as bariatric surgery. And although Tammy lost weight during her rehabilitation, the procedure is helping her shed even more pounds faster. However, the contrast in overall weight loss is noticeable.
When Amy Slaton started 1000-Lb Sisters, she lost more than 100 pounds before she qualified for surgery. In contrast, Tammy weighed 649 pounds at her highest weight. As a result, she has reportedly lost more than 200 pounds. This estimate stems from the reported requirement that Slaton would need to weigh less than 400 pounds before she could undergo weight loss surgery.
But Tammy may have gained new motivation from her near-death experience. One brush with death began when Slaton had trouble breathing at night. She ended up on the resuscitator not once, but twice. And these frightening incidents were followed by more health problems.
