As a result, even though Amy Slaton was able to take off enough pounds to undergo the procedure, Tammy went up and down the scale in the first two seasons of 1000-Lb Sisters.

Now, looking back at what we know about Tammy Slaton’s life before, during and after those episodes, some viewers blame her problems with boys on her weight loss challenges. And that brings us to one particular ex-boyfriend, Jerry Sykes.Sykes’ name pops up repeatedly on 1000-Lb Sisters message boards and social media.

To understand Amy Slaton and Tammy’s current feelings toward Jerry, it helps to understand how he came into the sisters’ lives. Jerry began by sending Amy gifts in the mail. Through YouTube, Tammy shared that Jerry sent those gifts before he met her sister.

But despite this history of gifts, Tammy admits she doesn’t believe Sykes ever felt any romance for Amy. Many 1000-Lb Sisters fans believe that Amy Slaton deserves credit for first realizing that Jerry could not be trusted. The reasons for her distrust range from the fact that he has a wife to the alleged relationships Jerry had cultivated with other reality stars.

Amy also spoke on 1000-Lb Sisters about her distrust of Jerry as the right boyfriend for Tammy. According to Amy Slaton, her sister “needs somebody [who will] motivate her… weight loss, not just want her to stay the way she is.”

However, Amy’s distrust of Sykes is not the reason for Tammy’s breakup. Instead, a report claims that Jerry himself chose to end his romance because of issues with the other woman in his life, his wife, Kia Russell-Rucker Sykes.

As reported by TMZ, 1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton found herself “left in the dust by her on-screen boyfriend, Jerry, after revealing she was pansexual.”

However, Jerry has denied that pansexuality caused his exit from his romance with Tammy. Although Jerry admits that he felt shocked by her revelation that he feels attraction to a variety of individuals, he insisted that his wife is the real reason.
