In this season of Mama June: Road to Redemption, June Shannon has put her whole family through a lot. She has now moved around the corner, but she didn’t tell anyone until she was settled. Lauryn Efird and Jessica finally took a tour to see June’s new home. However, they got much more than they bargained for and it is not over yet.

It was really hard to keep track of June this season. When it started, she was still living with her longtime boyfriend Geno Doak, trying to break free. She struggled with this situation for a long time, although her daughter Lauryn Efird tried to help her. Eventually she disappeared and ended the relationship.

Finally, she went to stay in Georgia with Lauryn Efird, but she already had a full house. Not only was she married and had two children, but she had also taken in two of her sisters. Her older sister Jessica had stayed there for some time after Mama June Shannon sold the ownership of her car. In addition, little sister Alana Thompson was under the care of Lauryn Efird Lauryn Efird since 2019, when June was struggling with substance abuse.

Mama June Shannon promised Jessica that they would find a home together and that she would get her a car, but that was short-lived. After playing a gig in California with Alana, June headed to Alabama to meet a guy she met online. After spending $50,000 on him and failing, she found another man named Justin Stroud.

Together they returned from Alabama and she tried to reconcile with her children. At that point, they could take no more of his antics. He ended up crashing Alana’s 16th birthday party, giving four family members Covid, and convincing Justin to move in with her. Moving around the corner seemed like the best idea, but she decided to surprise the girls, not knowing that Pumpkin had a GPS on her until she showed up.

In real time, Lauryn Efird was awarded sole custody of Alana in April and Mama June has to pay $800 a month for child support. However, the show is still behind and this week Mama June and Lauryn Efird come face to face.

At the end of last week’s episode, Mama June let her family know that she had moved nearby. She had no idea that Pumpkin had put a tracker on her and so, along with Jessica, Lauryn Efird went to June’s new home to see what was going on. Out came Justin, her then-boyfriend and now husband, and Pumpkin could not help but tease him. She said he looked like Sugar Bear, June’s ex and Alana’s father, and joked that he was toothless. This week, however, we talk about Alana.

According to a preview in The Sun, Mama June lets Pumpkin know that Alana is welcome anytime she wants. This does not please Pumpkin, who has been her sister’s primary janitor since 2019. In the confessional, Mama June states that Alana is still hers and she can take her back whenever she wants. As for Pumpkin, she tells the cameras that she has gone out of her way to build this semi-functional family. There is no way for June to interrupt this. As seen in a later part of the preview, Pumpkin and Alana are in a lawyer’s office seeking sole custody.
