The Challenge Season 37: Why Did Lauren Coogan Leave The Challenge?

The Challenge Season 37: Why Did Lauren Coogan Leave The Challenge?

During the first episode of MTV’s The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies, viewers briefly saw newcomer Lauren Coogan as Josh Martinez’s partner in the opening mission. However, the footage was primarily a shot of her and Josh working together to smash concrete blocks as their Season 37 photos and names appeared on screen. This was her big entrance, which only lasted a few seconds in the main episode.

Other than that, Lauren, 29, was rarely seen in the episode and had no confessionals or moments where she spoke with other cast members. She also did not appear in any of the promotional videos for season 37.

She recently responded to fans asking her about the situation and also commented on whether or not she will return for another season of The Challenge.

The Challenge Season 37: Why Did Lauren Coogan Leave The Challenge?

Fans have clearly noticed that something is wrong with Lauren Coogan’s editing situation on The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies, as it leads to comparisons to Dee Nguyen during Total Madness. Dee was removed from filming the remaining episodes after making inappropriate comments on social media about Black Lives Matter during the season. MTV gave a disclaimer before the Total Madness episodes explaining that they had cut ties with Dee. The disclaimer also provided their stance on the issue so fans knew what was going on.

The same has not happened with Lauren, leaving fans scratching their heads and perhaps believing rumors about her situation. So far, there has been no definitive answer from MTV or Lauren on the matter. One fan posted a question to her Instagram Story asking, “Why are you being eliminated from The Challenge?

Lauren gave an interesting answer, and while she didn’t reveal any details, she did explain that this has had an impact on her mental health. “The question that I knew was coming and don’t really want to answer because it was so traumatic and led me into a lot of therapy and counseling and the worst time of my life,” Lauren said in her IG Story.

Interestingly, Lauren could answer why she was removed from the clip, but chose not to. This could be due to an attempt to prevent any legal issues or to give herself a chance to return to the show. However, even this seems questionable.

Fans are also asking Lauren Coogan if she will participate in another season of MTV’s The Challenge. According to Lauren’s answer, “never say never,” but it seems to depend on several things. Prior to MTV’s competition series, Lauren appeared on the dating show Love Island USA 2. She only participated in a handful of episodes of the show.

One has to wonder if more details about Lauren’s elimination from The Challenge Season 37 will surface once the episodes air. In addition to her recent responses on IG Story, she also made comments on Twitter. This included calling the season “Lies, Lies, Lies” and sharing that reality TV has taken a toll on her mental health.

However, Lauren answered many more questions from fans on her official Instagram Story. Among her other answers were which male castmates were her favorites and also an answer to a fan’s spoiler question about the winners of season 37. This could be problematic for her being invited back.
