90 Day Fiance: Fans Are Confused About Azan Tefou and Nicole Nafziger’s Relationship

90 Day Fiance stars Azan Tefou and Nicole Nafziger had a hard time from day one. First of all there was the obvious: Nicole lives in Florida, and Azan lives in Morocco, so their relationship was mostly text and FaceTime. There was also the problem that Nicole was a single mother, which made it difficult for her to make time for Tefou. Then there were the little jumps that went back and forth between the two. 

In one of the most uncomfortable scenes in the history of 90 Day Fiance, Azan Tefou told Nicole to get off her ass and go to the gym. Nicole and Azan were on a light walk in the desert when Nicole started complaining that the walk was too physically difficult.

At one point, she was so out of breath that she had to sit down, which really irritated Azan Tefou. “Stop being lazy, and go train a little, sweetheart,” he said. Azan Tefou never shied away from criticizing Nicole’s weight. When the producers later asked about the tense scene, he claimed to be 55% attracted to Nicole because of her “unhealthy” body type. Yikes! 

Yet Nicole stayed with Azan Tefou. She also didn’t leave him when she caught him texting other women or fighting with her mother. It seems that all the hardships have brought them closer together, but they still haven’t made it down the aisle.

90 Day Fiance stars Nicole and Azan were supposed to get married in 2018, but they postponed the wedding for several reasons, including because they hadn’t gotten the paperwork together yet. It probably didn’t help either that days after the missed deadline, Azan Tefou told Nicole he was sending flirtatious text messages to other women. Nicole was crushed. In order to boost her energy even further, she faced a huge backlash from fans who couldn’t understand her decision to stay with Azan. It got so bad that Nicole and Azan Tefou decided not to return to the next season of 90 Day Fiance, with Nicole vowing never to appear on TV again, by Screen Rant.

From 2020, Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou are still very much together. Nicole even made one of her six-monthly trips to Morocco and got stuck for months because of Covid-19 lockdowns. But despite their many years of relationship, they didn’t publicly discuss their plans for a wedding.

Nicole, however, is not stressed about it. In answer to a question about a fan’s wedding date on her Instagram, she had this to say (per Screen Rant): “Hassan and I are still together and planning for the future together. She added: “The wedding will happen in the right time”.
