Caitlyn Jenner Gets Candid About Her Relationship With Kris Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner, an Olympic gold medalist and transgender icon, recently opened up about her relationship with her ex-wife, Kris Jenner, in an emotionally charged interview with The Times. As someone who’s been a part of the high-stakes game of reality TV, Caitlyn knows a thing or two about the roller coaster that is love and fame. But what really goes on behind the glitz and glam?

“We hit it off right at the beginning, and we were married after five and a half months,” Caitlyn revealed in the interview. Recalling their whirlwind romance, she said, “I was infatuated with her because she was very different from me. But yes, I’d have to say, it was love at first sight.”

Before Kris, Caitlyn Jenner went through a six-year hiatus from work, trying to find her footing. Kris, at that time, was a Beverly Hills housewife with her own aspirations. Once united, they formed a powerhouse duo; Kris took over the business aspect and even ventured the family into infomercials. Who could have foreseen what lay ahead for them? Certainly not Caitlyn, who admits, “I had no idea what the future would hold for us, and I don’t think Kris did either.”

The couple had two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who have since become celebrities in their own right. According to reports, Kendall and Kylie have continued to support both of their parents post-separation.

Communication Breakdown

Unfortunately, the love story met its conclusion in 2013, with Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner separating after a 22-year marriage. Caitlyn came out as transgender two years later in 2015, marking a significant moment in her life but also creating a ripple effect in her relationship with Kris. On ITV’s This Morning, Caitlyn confessed, “It’s kind of sad because we went through a lot, but there’s just a lot there,” referring to the emotional baggage that led to their current lack of communication.

To add to the intrigue, these interviews come right before the UK premiere of House of Kardashian, set to air on Sky Documentaries. The show will also be available on the streaming service Now, starting from October 8. Caitlyn expressed her desire to represent her family positively in the upcoming docuseries.

“When they approached me about doing this show, once I thought about it, I thought, ‘You know what? I want to get involved. I want to do my best to be very positive and really represent the family and the kids in a positive way,’” Caitlyn shared.

As viewers eagerly await the premiere of House of Kardashian, these interviews offer a rare glimpse into the tumultuous relationship between Caitlyn and Kris Jenner. For a couple once so inseparable, the breakdown in communication is truly unfortunate, yet a part of the complexity that makes them human.
