Julia Trubkina thought she was coming to America to start a life with her fiancé, but unfortunately for her – it didn’t come without his parents.

Before she arrived, he conveniently left out that they would be sleeping in different rooms. When she arrived, he walked her to the cramped, messy room where she would be staying.

Brandon Gibbs works all day in pest control, so he leaves before she wakes up and returns late at night.

After a few weeks of working on the farm, Julia decided, “II don’t want live here. I don’t want take care animals.”

Instead of waiting for him to come home from work, she called him to let him know that something had to change or else she would leave. “I want leave now Brandon Gibbs. Not tomorrow. Not after tomorrow. Now,” she yelled. “If we don’t go Brandon, I’m going to Russia! Do you understand that? I’m not staying here and you don’t care.”

When he chooses Julia Trubkina, he tells his parents that they plan to buy their own house and leave the farm. Upon hearing the news, Brandon Gibbs’s mother Betty immediately begins to cry. “The fact that she’s making you choose between us and her,” she says sobbing. “That makes me so sad.” Refusing to accept her son’s plan, she begs, “Is there anything that we can do that can maybe change your mind?”

Using this as his golden opportunity, “I don’t know, maybe I can throw in a bargaining chip, maybe we can stay in the same room? As a last straw would you let us stay together?” asked Brandon Gibbs.
