Mama June’s family finally seems to be closer than ever. Recently, Lauryn Shannon had a heartfelt conversation with Geno Doak on Friday’s episode. The 21 year old explained how her mother abandoned them and didn’t give a s#*t about it.

Lauryn and Alana Thompson were wounded. Now, however, it seems Pumpkin is trying to give June Shannon and Geno Doak another chance.

Lauryn Shannon sat down with Geno Doak for the first time since his and Mama June’s arrest. June Shannon and her boyfriend Geno were arrested back in 2019 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of narcotics.

Pumpkin spoke with Geno Doak about how her and Alana Thompson’s lives have been when they were gone. The Sun reports Lauryn’s claim that June Shannon and Geno have hurt her a lot in recent years. She was burdened with responsibilities because of them.

Lauryn Shannon further admits that she was not ready to take care of Alana Thompson, but she had no other option. At the same time, she was becoming a mother herself. Pumpkin says: “You weren’t around. It was really a whole mess.”

Lauryn didn’t just show the bad side of June Shannon and Geno, she also talked about the good. She told Geno Doak that she and his mother have made a remarkable effort to be there for him and Alana Thompson. In addition, he appreciated that both have been sober not just for a few days, but for over a year. Lauryn also acknowledged that she is now over all the hurt. She then went on to explain Alana Thompson’s maturity.

Alana Thompson doesn’t seem to be an ordinary teenager. She is much much more mature than her peers. Lauryn thinks Geno Doak and June Shannon are more understanding than they used to be. Let’s hope that Lauryn and Alana Thompson’s relationship with June and Geno will continue to grow.
