Mama June: From Not to Hot: Lauryn Shannon Defended Her Sister In An Instagram Post

Mama June Shannon and Lauryn Shannon came to the defence of Alana Thompson this week. Mama June: Road to Redemption returned to WEtv and fans are taking more interest in the actors.

Now June Shannon and Lauryn seem to be completely fed up with Alana Thompson’s mischievousness on social media. They both got into fights with her trolls.

The young teenager takes a lot of abuse for her nails, her hair, her clothes, just about everything. She’s 15 years old, she’s still a child and unfortunately she gets quite a lot of nasty comments on social media.

For some reason Alana Thompson gets so much criticism. At 15, she’s about the same age as Milania Guidice and slightly younger than Denise Richard’s daughter Lola Rose Sheen. They both appear in the Real Housewives franchise.

The main problem with the trolls seems to centre on Alana Thompson wearing nail varnish and make-up. Critics complain that she should still be a little girl and not try to act older than she is. But Milania and Lola Rose are both wearing make-up. In fact, Milania wears nail varnish, puts make-up on her face and dresses like an adult. But the trolls hate it when Alana Thompson does the same.

Maybe it’s because Toddlers & Tiaras fans saw Alana Thompson growing up in a pageant and they think she’s still a baby. Well, Mama June and Lauryn have had enough of that. And Lauryn blasted the WEtv fans who keep saying horrible things to her little sister.

This week, InTouch Weekly reported that Mama June spoke out. She told the publication that people are forgetting the fact that since the age of five, her daughter has appeared in a “the glitz pageant”. In fact, fans applauded and encouraged it. Now, however, she has reached an age where other teenagers enjoy playing with nails and make-up, trolls troll her.

On Wednesday 24 March on Instagram, as well as Mama June, Lauryn Shannon told the trolls exactly where to get off their high horses. He made some very obvious points that the trolls seem to forget. First, he mentioned that his sister is now 15 years old.

Then she stated that she “likes long lashes & long nails”. Think about it. After all, what teenager that age doesn’t like to dress up? Many fans say they did the same at 15 or 16. Plus Lauryn feels grateful that it’s the nails and make-up that interest her, not some other “worse things”.
