My 600-lb Life: Where Is Roshanda, Brandie, and Clarence, The Star Of ‘My 600-lb Life,’ Now?

It’s been two years since My 600-lb Life viewers first met siblings Roshanda, Brandie, and Clarence Perrio, also known as the “One-Ton Family”.

Collectively, the trio weighed over 2,000 pounds when they first sought Dr. Now’s help in Season 6, and in the May 20 episode of the spin-off Where Are They Now? fans received an update on the sisters and brother’s individual travels.

The siblings, characterized as “super morbidly obese” by Dr. Now, had previously tried to control their weight, but had difficulty finding a doctor who was willing to treat them. “We have been to doctors over the years who have told us that there is nothing they can do to help us because we are too big,” one of the shared Perrios.

Fortunately, Dr. Now was on their side, and the trio agreed to move to Houston to be closer to the bariatric surgeon’s office. At first, Roshanda weighed 783 pounds, Brandie between 600 and 650 pounds, and Clarence claimed she weighed less than both of her sisters, although her size had become an important issue.

Brandie was the first brother to be approved for weight loss surgery, followed by Clarence, who had taken a break from Dr. Now’s program to treat the Perrios’ sick father in Louisiana.

Seeing her sister and brother undergo gastric sleeve procedures motivated Roshanda to stick to a diet of 1,200 calories a day and exercise at least three times a week. She was finally approved for surgery when she gained 605 pounds.

Over the course of a year, the Perrio family managed to lose a total of 700 kilos, but they knew they still had a long way to go. In early 2019, Roshanda weighed about 600 pounds, while Brandie weighed 370 and Clarence was sitting at 397.

“We’re eating well, exercising, and hopefully this will soon lead us to all our goals,” Brandie told the camera. But by the end of the next episode, the trio realized that trying to lose weight together wasn’t working for them, and it was time to focus on their individual progress.

Roshanda has revealed that she has lost more than 300 kilos since 2018, which means that her weight is currently in the 400. “I am more motivated than ever to do this,” she said during her update. “I’m going to keep going and keep going until I reach my goal, and I know we’re going to get back together as a family.”

Meanwhile, Clarence has lost over 200 kilos. “I have come to understand that where I have to be I have to focus on what will help me to continue making progress and not on things that are a waste and that will take me out of that concentration,” he explained, adding that he has abandoned the program of Dr. Now and plans to lose the rest of the weight alone.

Brandie also confessed that she left the program for the moment to focus on her musical career after receiving offers to play on the road. But given her weight gain at her last appointment – she gained 70 kilos in just two months – the hip-hop artist knows she has to commit again to a healthier lifestyle in the future.
