Octavia endured violence from her stepfather. By 20, she exceeded 500 pounds, facing harassment. Tragedy struck when her mother passed when Octavia was 23. Left to care for her sister, Desiree, Octavia’s grief lingered.

Once Desiree left, Octavia’s weight soared near 700 pounds. Seeking a change, she sought Dr. Now in Houston. Dr. Now prescribed a strict diet upon her arrival.

Octavia’s dedication paid off, meeting surgery requirements. The episode’s end saw her shedding 236 pounds, weighing 456.
