Joy-Anna and Austin couldn’t wait to welcome a little girl into their lives. Unfortunately, when they went for the 20-week ultrasound, the baby’s heartbeat was not detected.
“Although we don’t understand why, God has given us inexplicable peace and comfort at this difficult time,” Joy-Anna Duggar titled a post of Instagram of her and Austin at the hospital. “Yes, it still hurts and we cried countless tears, but we know we can trust the Lord.”
As for the baby’s name, they went with Annabell Elise. “Annabell means ‘God favoured me’, and Elise means ‘God satisfies’. How precious to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus,” Joy-Anna added in the caption.
Shortly after the initial post about miscarriage, the couple also published photos of themselves with the baby in the hospital.
‘Counting On’: Joy-Anna Duggar posted a gift she was given by a friend to remember the baby
After the miscarriage in July 2019, friends and family gathered to show their support for Forsyth. And it seemed that Joy-Anna was moving forward successfully as she continued to turn the house upside down with her husband’s help and even completed a new home. But Joy-Anna Duggar certainly still feels a sense of loss when it comes to Annabell. And a recent gift from a friend is helping her keep the baby’s memory alive.
The art, which seems to be hanging on the wall of Joy-Anna’s house, depicts Joy-Anna Duggar, Austin and Gideon on one side of the frame, while Joy-Anna holds Jesus by the hand. Jesus is holding Annabella in his arms.
I have always said, “My little girl is in the arms of Jesus,” but this image always makes me cry! A nice reminder. Thank you for this sweet gift!” Joy-Anna named her Instagram post after the gift.
Oh my goodness, this is such a beautiful gift. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
What a beautiful way to keep the memory of Annabell .
GOD bless your little adorable family.
