Love is Blind: What Happened With Mark Cuevas on ‘Love is Blind’?

Remember Love is Blind? Even though it seemed to air in another life, the Netflix show only a few months ago. Despite the madness of the premise of getting engaged without ever seeing your partner, the show has given birth to a few great couples.

Although Mark Cuevas didn’t finish the married season, he started dating one of his casting partners, Lauren Chamblin, also known as LC. But after rumors of his cheating on Chamblin came out, she broke up with him.

Mark was involved in one of the most tumultuous relationships on the show. He started connecting with Jessica Batten in the pods almost immediately. The two got engaged after casting partner Matt Barnett chose Amber Pike instead of Batten. After they got engaged, Batten started constantly stupid fights with Mark Cuevas, belittled him for his age and hit on Barnett. Despite all this, Cuevas kept saying “I do” on their wedding day. Batten refused him at the altar and left the show alone.

“It was a psychological war, for sure, because planning a wedding is stressful enough, I heard,” Batten told Entertainment Weekly that she had to go ahead with the wedding, even though she knew she didn’t want to be with Cuevas “But when planning a wedding with someone I knew I didn’t want to marry, we weren’t ready for it, and we actually had several conversations and were both on the same wavelength. We weren’t ready to marry each other in all the time we had. We were very much in agreement about that.”

Cuevas and Lauren Chamblin started dating after the end of the show, but it all ended when a Reddit post, now deleted, titled “My dear friend’s colleague is dating Mark” was found by Chamblin.

“This is embarrassing because I live in Atlanta and have been dating Mark since the beginning of May,” Lauren Chamblin replied. “Oh and btw, this is LC from ‘Love is Blind’. Feel free to DM me on Instagram if you want more information! But I just broke up with Mark, so I really appreciate you posting this and saving my energy to date another liar”.

Apparently, the relationship hadn’t been made exclusive yet. “Mark and I were dating by accident, but we talked about staying exclusive, mainly because of Covid-19, but now it’s over,” Lauren Chamblin said in a statement to People.

Cuevas made sure to emphasize the nature of their relationship. “I liked spending a few weeks with LC, but at no time were we in an exclusive relationship, as LC itself confirmed. I wish her all the best,” he said.
