The View: Meghan McCain Is Returning

Meghan McCain has confirmed the premiere date for season 24 of The View. The show has been on summer hiatus since August and fans are eagerly awaiting its return; ABC has been airing reruns during the host’s time off, but that’s about to change very soon. The network made a promo announcing when the talk show will return with a live episode, and McCain retweeted that exciting message.

It’s been a long August without the women of The View analyzing the political noise on the road to the election. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and McCain took quite a break from their daily show appearances to get off the air.

On July 31, a blooper reel from the co-hosts aired from their homes during the coronavirus pandemic. McCain took to Twitter to confirm that it was the last original episode of the show from season 23.

“Thank you for a truly wild, intense, but memorable season. Today is our last episode and we’re in hiatus for the summer,” McCain tweeted.” Thank you to this platform, my co-hosts, the fearless The View team, and the last truly uncensored space in television, and I’ll see you in September!”

As the end of August approaches, The View has released a new promo to announce the return and premiere of season 24.

“A great new season of your Emmy Award-winning The View is almost here,” the promo says, “and it’s not just for you.” The new season begins September 8 on ABC.” McCain retweeted the view to much fanfare from The View’s official account.

The View: Meghan McCain Is Returning

If it wasn’t already clear, Meghan McCain is returning to the show, despite some fans demanding otherwise. Many conservative co-hosts believed she was pregnant and not coming back as close to giving birth. McCain recently confirmed that she wasn’t out of the show, despite the rumors.

“Why is anyone asking me if I’m getting fired or quitting every 20 seconds?” And she told Andy Cohen during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.” The other hosts don’t have to deal with this BS. Yes, I’ll be back.” Because it’s election time.”

McCain made this statement on Bravo’s late night show, which I feel is a double standard. Republican critics noted that her husband isn’t grilling about whether or not he’s going back to work after having a baby.

“Super jealous no one is grilling my husband if he plans to continue to work after our child birth,” she tweeted.

McCain has been relatively quiet about her high-profile pregnancy earlier this year. She announced that she has decided not to reveal details about her journey to motherhood due to privacy concerns. McCain knows that social media is gruesome and anything she puts out there could be used against her in the future.

The View hasn’t officially announced Sarah Haynes’ return to the show, but she’s expected to make a comeback in season 24, and ABC hasn’t confirmed if there will be any other cast additions.
