My 600-lb Life: Continued Progress and Surgery
JT’s story continued in Season 9, Episode 5 of “My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now?” which aired on June 5, 2024. Over a year after meeting Dr. Now, JT had dropped to 351 pounds. Although COVID-19 shutdowns delayed his lymphedema surgery, JT remained determined and continued his weight loss journey.
In February 2023, JT shared on Facebook that he was ready for the lymphedema surgery and asked for a ride to Houston, which his uncle provided. By the time of his surgery, JT weighed 357 pounds. The removal of the lymphedema added another 80 pounds of weight loss, putting him around 277 pounds.
My 600-lb Life: Life After Weight Loss
Today, JT seems to be in a much better place. His social media updates, though sporadic, show a noticeable improvement in his appearance. In March 2023, JT updated his Facebook profile picture, revealing a slimmer face and more defined jawline. In February 2024, he announced a relationship with a woman named Emily Mahan.
