Joy-Anna Duggar’s Baby Boy, Gunner's Health Concerns Raised by Fans

Fans of the “Counting On” star, Joy-Anna Duggar, are sharing their concern for her baby son, Gunner, after a recent ultrasound revealed his larger than average stomach size. The 25-year-old reality TV star had mentioned this in a YouTube video last month, noting, “He’s measuring two weeks ahead in his stomach, in his stomach circumference. Still, it’s concerning.”

While Joy-Anna welcomes all the newborn love, her fans can’t help but worry.

Just a week after welcoming her third child with husband Austin Forsyth, Joy-Anna Duggar posted a heartwarming photo of herself kissing her son. Captioning the photo, she wrote, “1 week old. It’s cliche, but true… ‘Time flies by too fast.’ Soaking up all of the newborn snuggles.”

While many followers found the photo adorable, some couldn’t help but express their concern for the newborn’s health. One follower asked, “Is his belly ok? I know you said it was concerningly big in the ultrasound.”

Counting On: Baby Gunner’s Arrival

Born on May 17, Gunner weighed eight pounds at birth, Joy-Anna Duggar revealed. The proud mom has been consistently updating her followers about Gunner’s journey, posting an adorable snapshot of her third child in his dark blue striped onesie, and sharing a loving moment of her daughter, Evelyn, cradling Gunner.

The family has lovingly given Gunner the nickname “Gutta,” and their happiness is evident in every shared moment.

Counting On: Honoring Family Tradition

Back in December 2022, Joy-Anna Duggar dropped a hint about her unborn baby’s name during a “Christmas Time Q&A” video. She revealed, “Just to give you guys a sneak peek, we are definitely using James either as a first name or the middle name.”

This was a tribute to Austin’s grandfather, Edwin James Forsyth, who had expressed his wish to have ‘James’ included in their next boy’s name. Joy-Anna expressed, “His name was Edwin James Forsyth, and it was about using his name and honoring him in that way.”
