Sister Wives: Christine Doesn’t Plan To Leave Sister Wives

Now that Christine Brown is a lonely, monogamous woman, Sister Wives viewers are curious about her future in the long-running series. After 25 years of a spiritual marriage, Christine and Kody Brown divorced last fall, making the official announcement in November 2021.

Since their separation, Christine Brown has moved to Utah to be closer to her older children and to bring her and Kody’s youngest child, 12-year-old Truely, closer to supportive family members.

Sister Wives’ 17th season is currently airing and filming took place in the spring of 2021, ahead of their official public announcement. And although Christine lives separately from the rest of the family, she plans to continue filming for the show.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight’s Deidre Behar, Christine spoke about her decision to continue filming. “I made a promise to Kody and everybody else that I would stay in Sister Wives as long as we have the show just to be fair,” Christine revealed. “It’s what our family’s been doing for so long. I feel like it would be disloyal if I decided to not be part of the show.”

Although Christine Brown is technically no longer the sister wife of Kody Brown’s three other wives – Meri, Janelle and Robyn – she has remained close to Janelle and tells ET she still considers her a sister-wife. Since Christine’s split from Kody, the duo have been spotted spending time together with their 12 children, who they share.

Since the split, Sister Wives viewers have suggested Christine Brown get her own spinoff show, and the TLC star said she would be open to it in addition to her current digital cooking show, Cooking with Just Christine. “As far as a spin-off, dude, I’m totally open,” Christine admitted. “No idea what it looks like, but absolutely, that’d be just fun as heck.”

As a newly single woman living in Utah, something Christine has dreamed of for years, she is living her best life. She admitted to feeling “more confident” these days and said her life is a lot simpler, adding, “Everything’s just a lot easier as far as just planning and day-to-day life.”

It is clear that despite how difficult it was for the family, especially their youngest biological child Truely, Christine made the right decision to leave Cody and she couldn’t be happier.
