Where Is David Bolton From My 600-Lb Life Now?

My 600-Lb Life is a different kind of weight loss reality series, mainly because it’s not just a weight loss reality series. The participants, all brought to their knees by a lifetime of terrible eating habits and often some kind of emotional trauma, travel to Houston, Texas, to meet bariatric surgeon Dr. Now, in a last-ditch attempt to change their lives for good. The process is never easy, and often patients’ psychological problems have to be dealt with before their weight changes.  But when things go right, it’s incredibly life-affirming – both for those involved and for us watching at home.

David Bolton actually took part in My 600-Lb Life with his brother Benji. They weighed over 1,300 kilos between them, but both ended up losing an incredible amount. In fact, by the end of the episode, David went from 747 pounds to 420 pounds (via Starcasm).

Where Is David Bolton From My 600-Lb Life Now?

When David Bolton arrived at Dr. Now’s office, he confessed that he was almost immobile. Bolton could barely stand for more than a few minutes, and most of the time he couldn’t fit through the doors (via The Cinemaholic). Inspired by her brother Benji, the reality star decided it was now or never – and through sheer determination, she ended her time on My 600-Lb Life by qualifying for weight-loss surgery.

A year into his journey, David had managed to drop over 300 kilos. According to TV’s Ace, he has continued on a journey of success, pursuing even greater weight loss. David looks great, often sharing updates with fans on his Facebook page.

In March 2020, the My 600-Lb Life star also announced his engagement to girlfriend Carrie (via Facebook). However, according to The Cinemaholic, she sadly appears to have fallen out with Benji, as revealed on the show “Where Are They Now?”. during the episode.

David also claimed to have been mistreated by production company Megalomedia, claiming that he was made to feel “extremely frustrated and depressed” before the operation, with no professional help from the show to help him cope. Regardless of what happened during his My 600-Lb Life, David at least seems to be on the right track now and immensely happier as a result.
