Counting On: Jessa Has A No-frills Attitude To Hair Care

Counting on star Jessa Duggar, like her famous sisters – Jana, Jill, Jinger, and Joy-Anna – is known for its lusciously long, naturally curled locks. Her three adorable children with husband Ben Seewald, Spurgeon, Henry, and Ivy, clearly take after their mother … especially judging by a cute before-and-after Instagram post with little Spurgeon.

The proud mother noted that she had to find the right haircut to honor the natural twists and turns of her young son, emphasizing how she could never cut it all off. She reasoned: “I love this haircut because it cleans the neckline and takes the hair off his ears, yet it lights up those beautiful curls.

Besides being part of one of the most famous and controversial families in the world, Jessa concentrates her time on being a devoted wife and mother. As a result, the former 19 Kids and Counting Star has a relaxed look when it comes to her own clothes, hair and makeup.

She appears both on social media and in public in a natural way, whatever the occasion – so it’s not surprising that Jessa Duggar’s hair care routine is just as minor.

Counting On: Jessa Has A No-frills Attitude To Hair Care

In a video tutorial posted on YouTube in December 2019, Jessa Duggar shared her typical morning routine, showing that it only takes her 15 minutes to get ready every day. She immediately noted that her hair is “naturally curly”, and therefore has “quite a bit of body to it”.

The result is that Jessa’s locks, although beautiful, become super “frizzy” and “tangled”. The Counting On star admits that she never brushes when it’s dry, because then she just makes it big and angry. If there’s a knot in it, she just speaks to it individually.

“I didn’t wash my hair every day. It feels like that really dries out my hair,” Jessa continued, adding, “I only wash my hair every other day or every two days. The mother-of-three admitted that as a teenager, she messed with her hair a lot, including filling it with products such as mousse, but she will sometimes still curl or straighten her hair. I don’t do it as often as I used to,” she said, jokingly, “I feel like I used to have more time – imagine that!

More often than not, the busy TV personality tends to just let her do her own thing these days. She usually washes it at night and lets it air dry while she sleeps – and that seems to do the trick.
