A snippet from the season 23 premiere of Little People, Big World showed Zach Roloff enlisting his four-year-old son, Jackson, to notify his father, Matt Roloff, of his and Tori Roloff’s decision to move. The Roloffs have lived for years in their beautiful home in Portland, Oregon.
Zach Roloff and his wife Tori Roloff, with their two-year-old daughter Lilah and sons Jackson and Josiah, have built beautiful memories in their Portland home. The 2,600-square-foot home includes a two-car garage, a large front porch, a spacious master bedroom, an in-ground pool and an outdoor living room. Best of all, the house was only a 10-minute drive from the famous Roloff family farm. It was also located near Amy Roloff’s home, so Jackson and Lilah could easily visit their grandparents.
However, despite having achieved many milestones in Portland, Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff, both 31, shocked many fans when the mom of three announced via social media in October 2021 that her family had decided to leave their Portland home for Washington State. Tori told her followers that she was “beyond exhausted” after preparations for the move.
Although she was looking forward to a new adventure in Washington, she revealed that the decision to change locations was difficult. Tori pointed out that she and her family have created many fond memories in Portland, where they have settled for years, and their greenhouse will be missed.
‘Little People, Big World’: Did Matt Roloff Drive Zach Roloff And Tori Roloff Away?
Although many fans believed that Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff had decided to explore Washington because they wanted a change of environment, that does not appear to have been the case. In a recently released teaser of the popular TLC show made available to Us Magazine, Zach and Tori told his father, Matt Roloff, about their relocation plans.
However, this came after the two had a heated argument about their farm in Oregon. Later, things became more intense when Zach told Jackson to tell his grandparents about his and Tori’s decision to move to Battle Ground, Washington. The couple was quite insistent about moving and unwilling to listen to what other family members had to say about it. It is unclear how Matt Roloff received Zach and his family’s move to Washington, but his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, said in a confessional interview, “It was weird. I mean, who the f–k does that?”
Meanwhile, during a confessional interview, Matt Roloff, explained that he and Zach were on different sides during the Oregon farm negotiations. He added that his son was making demands instead of negotiating. However, Zach’s position was very different from his father’s. The Oregon native believed that it was his father who was the reason the deal fell through.
Zach noted that his father wanted to be in control and was unwilling to let him dictate the terms. The women in the family also shared their opinions. Caryn said she was angry that the tension had driven a wedge between the family, while Tori said, “It’s awkward.”
