My 600 Lb Life: Coliesa, the 41-year-old mother of four children, has decided to regain control of her life. Her weight opened the way to her grave. But fortunately for her, Dr. Nowzaradan to the rescue! Let’s take a look at her trip to Houston and how difficult it was.

Coliesa had her second child when she was 23. At the time, she weighed 400 pounds. She had her third child at 25 and her weight increased to 460 pounds. Coliesa weighed 500 pounds until she was 29 when she had her fourth child. When she was 30, her husband was arrested and she went to Louisiana with the children to get away from him.

Coliesa met her boyfriend when she was 31. For a while her life got better when she moved in with the children. But after she reached the age of 39, she had a heart attack. The hospital staff were unable to operate on her because of her size. So, from that moment on, Coliesa knew that if she didn’t lose weight, she wouldn’t be able to get out alive if she had another heart attack.

She wasn’t able to lose weight afterwards either. Unfortunately, her fiancé died in a car accident and the tragedy devastated her. So, she fed on her grief so she wouldn’t let the tragedy bring her down. Dr. Now she spends most of her time in bed.

She let someone else pack her bags and her medication was left out. Everyone was freaking out. But Coliesa was determined not to go on without her medication.

After her follow-up with Dr. Now, it turned out she wasn’t able to cut the weight in half to get approval for surgery. But after she went into therapy, she started to make progress. Although she was unable to lose as much weight as Dr. Now had asked her to, they approved her for bariatric surgery.
