Jill Duggar and the rest of the Duggar family have been pretty active on social media since the Coronavirus blockade started. Jill, however, seems to have a different ending than her big family.
While the Duggars have been busy defending their image and acting as if there was no family split, Jill has taken to subtly shading the matriarch and patriarch of the Duggar clan. At least, that’s what the followers of the family think is happening. So, is Jill jabbing Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, or are people just reading too much into it?
Jill Duggar went to Instagram to share a new air freshener she recently got. The deodorant, placed on the rearview mirror of her car, reads: “No longer a slave to fear”. Fans have taken the statement to suggest that she no longer fears her family, and will no longer have a role in their media circus.
The hypothesis comes after Derick Dillard, Jill’s husband, said she is currently in therapy and is working through borderline issues. Could the air freshener be a statement about the work she is doing in therapy? It’s possible. But it seems just as likely that the deodorant is part of a sponsorship. Counting On: Fans Are Desperate To See Jill Duggar Break Free
Family followers desperately want to see a Duggar child get rid of the rigid belief system in which they were raised. For years, many believed that Jinger would do it. In fact, there’s a whole forum named after the idea that it would break free. While Jinger is the one who has drifted furthest away from her famous family, Jill Duggar has emerged as a clear family rebel.
Jill seems to be the Duggar who has drifted the furthest away from the strict rules of the family. She no longer follows the family dress code, has decided to send her daughter to a traditional school and even has a piercing. Derick has stated that his family does not follow the IBLP, and has been quite transparent about his thoughts on the ultra-conservative Christian ministry.
Even the Duggar family’s most vocal critics seem to applaud Jill’s transformation. But, does that necessarily mean that she is making moves to completely detoxify herself from her family? It’s too early to tell, but if Derick goes to market with the book he says he wrote, Jill may not have a choice. Her Instagram posts, however, may be revealing. Maybe she’s ready to make the leap.
