It’s hard to believe that Jill Duggar is already 29 years old, since we seem to have seen her grow up on TV. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar brought their 19 children into the spotlight for the first time more than ten years ago, and now we can keep up with their older children through social media. And Jill has a whole new life with her husband, Derick Dillard, and her two sons, Israel and Samuel.
Jill Duggar has caused a lot of controversy over the past year when Derick Dillard came forward and admitted that she was at loggerheads with her family. But it looks like they sent her a birthday present anyway – even though part of the gift was fast food. Here’s what we learned.
Counting On: Jill’s Been On The Outs With Her Family According To Her Husband, Derick
Jill Duggar was used to being in line with her brothers, but a lot has changed over the years. It is clear that she is on a new path as she continues to grow as a mother to her children, wearing clothes she was never allowed to wear when she was young and enrolling her children in public school. Even though Jill doesn’t talk about potential feuds, it’s Derick Dillard who has come forward with the information we all want.
In December 2019, an Instagram follower asked Derick Dillard if he and Jill had ever seen Jill’s family for the holidays. And Derick explained that they don’t see the Duggars often, because they need Jim Bob’s permission before entering the big family home.
“Jill also had to ask JB’s permission to go home to help her sister when she was in labor because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn’t provide the assistance until we got permission from JB,” explained Derick Dillard. And he didn’t stop there. Since then, Derick has also spoken to YouTuber Without a Crystal Ball about the infamous family.
Counting On: A Few Of Jill Duggar’s Family Members Publicly Wished Her A Happy Birthday
Jim Bob and Michelle haven’t recognized anything Derick said yet. Although they never publish photos of Jill and Derick in their home, they occasionally add photos of the couple to their Instagram family to celebrate life’s big events. And they added photos of Jill for her birthday on May 17th.
“Happy birthday, Jill!” reads the caption in the post. “I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday. You were the happiest little girl and you always had a smile on your face.” Jim Bob and Michelle then wrote about how Jill cares “deeply for others” and always wants to “share in the love and hope of Christ, both at home and in the mission field”.
The post seemed sweet, but some even noticed that the photos they chose didn’t present Derick or Jim Bob at all – and we’re not sure it was intentional.
As for Jill’s siblings, many did not give any public birthday screams. Jessa and Jana Duggar added “happy birthday” messages to their Instagram Stories, but that’s all.
Hopefully, Jill realizes she no longer wants to be in this CULT where women aren’t considered equals to the males… And realizes that phony idiot father, jb needs to earn their respect. Jb seems controlling, and ignorant and not too bright.
I commend Jill for breaking away from that dark age way of raising family . It is not a sin to attend public school or wear Jean’s and tank tops. It’s normal for children to have friends out side of family . Jim Bob and Michelle are living in the dark ages . Normal dating is allowed in America. Courtships are from the medieval times. Jim Bob is a nartlriascit and wants control over every one and everything. He needs to go to confession and apologize for his sins.
