My 600-lb Life: Where Is Cynthia Wells, The Star Of 'My 600-lb Life,' Now?

Cynthia Wells was one of the most controversial stars on My 600-lb Life. As a single mother juggling with five children, she experienced the stress of everyday life. Cynthia Wells’ weight replenished at 610 pounds, leaving her not only without motivation, but virtually unable to keep up with the needs of her children.

By adding insult to the injuries, she felt completely alone and even doing menacing tasks exhausted her. However, Cynthia Wells earned her reputation for being stubborn and in denial by refusing to follow Dr. Nowzaradan’s infamously strict diet and exercise program, even describing it as “bulls**t” before returning to her home in Oklahoma.

Though her weight loss stalled due to Cynthia Wells‘ unwillingness to accept responsibility for herself and the help of others, a follow-up episode in 2018 put her in a much better place, both mentally and physically (through Distractify). The busy mother of five also managed to fall back to 360 pounds, proving that she had the means to achieve her goals, if only she could get out of her own way.

Fortunately, Cynthia Wells has continued to work on her weight loss goals since her first show appearance. Heavy reports inspired her to get her life on track so she could be around to watch her kids grow up. And nowadays she’s happy to be more actively involved in their lives as they go to their dance recitals and more isn’t so hard anymore as Cynthia Wells has much more energy to participate.

Cynthia Wells’ ultimate goal is to lose enough weight to qualify for skin removal surgery. Her children insist on losing more weight as well, so she can stay healthier and stay close to them. According to Distractify, Wells has kept fans on Facebook up to date on her progress, although she tends to stay away from posting full body pictures. She’s still in Oklahoma City, too.
