My 600-lb Life’ is a widely used TLC series that documents the struggles people with morbid obesity engage in to lose weight. Under Dr. Now’s strict observation and careful guidance, participants try to shed a few pounds before undergoing surgery. While many manage to change their lives, some are still struggling after losing weight. Unfortunately, Renee Biran falls into the latter category, which may make you wonder where she is now.

Renee Biran has joined ‘My 600-lb Life’ with a weight of 631 pounds. Even before taking part in the show, she was engaged in plus size modeling and lived like a self-proclaimed ‘Massive Mocha’. When she went to Dr. Now, she had some respiratory problems because of her weight, but on doctor’s advice she lost quite a few pounds. Renee was even given the green light for gastric bypass surgery, after which her weight dropped to 381 pounds, a loss of almost 250 pounds.

She has set herself achievable goals and promises to achieve her dream weight by losing one pound at a time. Biran in particular has praised Dr. Now for calling people to account and caring for them at the same time. She hints that people are too afraid to cheat during the diet plans he gives.

Despite losing a considerable amount of weight, Renee Biran is not out of the woods. In early 2019 she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a condition in which the body’s immune system attacks the body’s nervous system. Depending on when the disease is detected and its severity, it can usually be treated. Sometimes it leads to paralysis and even death.

According to her Facebook profile, Renee has quite a few grandchildren and seems to be very proud of them. She often shares pictures of their achievements, like when her grandson went to high school.

Renee has made some positive changes in her life, in terms of weight loss. She is far from giving up, determined to achieve her dream weight by losing one pound at a time. Meanwhile, Biran continues her fight for health, because of Guillain-Barre syndrome. One can only hope that she will find the courage and determination in herself to stay on the path. Fortunately, she has the support of her children, grandchildren and her husband, to help her on her way.
