My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Did MBFFL Fake the Entire Romance With Whitney and Chase?

My Big Fat Fabulous Life is already shooting the new season with Whitney Thore and best friend Buddy Bell in the center. However, there’s a lot of chatter about the TLC show faking novels and screenplay scenes. Will there be more fraud in Season 8? We heard TLC has cameras on the ground in North Caroline.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Did MBFFL Fake the Entire Romance With Whitney and Chase?

The persistent chatter says Whitney Thore wasn’t in a real love affair with Chase Severino. And the timing of Chase Severino popping up with a pregnant girlfriend right after the latest episodes of MBFFL Season 7 on air is highly suspicious.

A source close to them in North Carolina said the fraud came after mutual friend Ryan Andreas introduced them. They said Chase Severino and Whitney came up with the idea for My Big Fat Fabulous Life. According to our source, this whole Whitney and Chase romance was for the cameras.

Plus, TLC is known for scenes from their reality shows. So, there’s that, too. In the end, although Whitney is very funny, and certainly deserves true love – it doesn’t seem like Chase was the real deal. But he did offer a tantalizing plot on My Big Fat Fabulous Life.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Season 8

It is usually at this time of year that My Big Fat Fabulous Life cameras shoot in Charlotte, NC, to start filming with Whitney Thore and her family. With COVID’s isolation, it could be a bit delayed. However, we’ve spotted some of the technicians who are already there, so filming is in progress.

With Whitney “dumped” by alleged fake partner Chase, what is the focus of My Big Fat Fabulous Life Season 8? Without a doubt, it involves Buddy. They confirmed that after Buddy Bell was her helper during the quarantine, leaving shopping, he moved in with her between April and May.

Another question is whether Buddy moved out because of problems with his landlord while showing a letter about his rent (see below). Buddy Bell is now with the co-star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney. And he was there because of his heartbreak over the news of Chase’s baby daddy. They were already filming?

  1. If this was a false story that should end the series. I know plot lines are manipulated on reality TV, but this is different. It upends the integrity of the show.

  2. This show is awful since start. She has lied many times. This sounds like that 90 Fiancé episode that had the guy lie about being married. He went to Columbia to meet one girl, she never showed up. So he called another called another girl he was supposedly talking too and got engaged to her. But this was all fake as he was married and did this for his production company. At least his end was fake.

TLC should no longer be called the “The Learning Channel”. As it’s either about obese people who eat themselves to death, marring people they never met, a family the keeps spitting out kids, or had a crazy amount of kids at once. It’s either spitting out kids, marring strangers, or obese people saying the scale is wrong. All this teaches kids is if you can get pregnant, obese, or find a person online to marry you can be on tv. Lol

  4. I have been a fan of and devoted to this show for the entire series! I’m the Adult Child of an (unrecovered) Alcoholic (ACA) and married an abusive addict because my path was predetermined! While I got into recovery (which saved my life), addiction cost me my health
and my 27 marriage! It affected both of my adult daughters. I have been so concerned about Buddy’s addictions and Whitney’s unhealthy codependence! Her mistaken belief that she could save him literally tore me up for many seasons so when she met Chase and appeared to be in a healthy relationship at last, I was thrilled for her and them! If I find out, for whatever reason, that this relationship was faked, my trust in her will be irreparably damaged and I will be through with Whitney and her show for good! I realize that reality shows are embellished and scripted for various reasons but I cannot imagine any excuse for Whitney to do so much damage to her loyal, trusting fans!

  5. The WHOLE romance too quick. From taking a walk to dating. Ryan seemed VERY skeptical and HONESTLY I’m tired of the Whitney/Buddy romance. Right now I think EVERYONE using her for the fame

  6. It became obvious to MANY of us that Chase was not the real deal. I think Whitney may have done this to prove to Avi that she’s a desirable attractive woman who can catch a good looking man who deserving of her love. And a man who accepts her as she is and who loves her. I sincerely want that for her. She has to stop acting like the man in the relationship. She’s too aggressive, too loud, very controlling, & a narcissist. These things do not bode well for women most of the time. Oh yeah ! She’s also a feminist.🤨😑🤪

  7. I have loved this show from the beginning, but i believe this was a fake romance for the show. It’s lost any integrity. I’m tired of TLC and watching all these people just get rich off the show. I thought TLC used to stand for The Learning Channel. It’s The Lost Cause now. Love you Whitney, but i have lost interest in your show. And Buddy is a jerk…i can’t stand him. Love your mom and dad💙

  8. It is still an entertaining show. I find Whitney Thore to be a very inspirational person for body acceptance.

  9. It is unfortunate that Whitney chose to use her valuable platform to promote a fake romance. Nothing about Chase and Whitney as a couple appeared authentic. It was such an obvious contrived lie as to be insulting to the viewers. The focus of the show should not be a series of ridiculous contrived romances, but how Whitney lives her life and accomplishes things that matter. I knew when Chase came on the show and they abruptly developed an unlikely romance that my viewing days were numbered. I’m done.
