Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Loyal Wives

Kody Brown was emphatic about what needed to be done for the family to come together for Thanksgiving 2020. She laid down the rules and the four women got to review them. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned, and Thanksgiving left them as a blended family. “In the final episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown saw who his true loyal wives were.

When the pandemic first started, Kody preferred when her family was quarantined and was safe. That way, they could gather sooner rather than later. He made the executive decision to switch homes to reduce the risks, but soon saw where she shouldn’t go. Christine Brown felt he was travelling too much, while Janelle didn’t think it was safe for her to rotate. Two of her sons were out in the world, at school and at work, and he didn’t want to risk putting anyone in danger.

This cost Janelle Brown dearly, as she missed weeks with Kody. Finally, she wanted her two boys, Gabe and Garrison, kicked out of the house. He believed they were the ones holding her back as a safety risk. As for Christine Brown, she admitted that the man came by from time to time, but it was rare. Kody never visited Meri Brown because their three-decade marriage had dwindled to friendship. Robyn Brown followed his very strict rules only so she could keep him in her life, and it worked.

When the wives sat down to discuss Thanksgiving and how they could all get together, it was a question of who could stick to the rules. Christine Brown was talking to her children in Utah and it wasn’t feasible. Yet Aspyn and Mitch had invited them to their home, so that’s where they went with Mykelt. Since Gabe and Garrison were not welcome at Robyn’s, Janelle also chose her sister’s home in Utah. In the end, Meri wanted to maintain family unity, so she stayed with Robyn and Kody. Now there’s a rift and Kody is playing new favorites.

Because Meri Brown followed all the proper rules, she was able to reunite with Robyn’s five children before the holidays. This allowed for a smooth transition to Thanksgiving. Even though it was hard for them not to have a full fan, they were thankful that Meri was around.

Christine Brown had an extremely relaxing time in Utah that was almost a foretaste of things to come. The same was true for Janelle and her children. However, Christine Brown did video chat with the family in Flagstaff, while Janelle forgot all about it.
