Kody Brown had a lot of mixed emotions when he found out that his third wife, Christine Brown, had kicked him out of her home. She had apparently threatened to leave him numerous times, but he never thought she would leave him. Especially in such a dramatic way where he had no say in the matter. In a preview of the final part of Sister Wives: One on One, the divorce is mentioned again. Both sides get a chance to discuss their feelings and Kody’s might shock viewers.
Sister Wives: Kody Halts His Marriages
For someone who believes in polygamy, Kody Brown certainly has a fun way of showing it. With his first wife, Meri, he admitted it’s nothing more than a friendship. During the tell-all, Meri confessed that they haven’t been intimate in about a decade.
However, she still has hope that they can be one together in friendship. For Kody Brown, that ship has sailed and it was long before the catfishing incident. That was just the straw that broke the camel’s back. As for his second wife, Janelle Brown, he admits he is not in love with her. He claims the feeling is reciprocated.
They’re really just good friends and his third wife Christine Brown doesn’t think Janelle needs Kody to fill her love tank. Speaking of Christine Brown, Kody admitted that he wasn’t attracted to her from the beginning. The way she ate his nachos made him sick. Yet, they still got married in 1994 and had six children together. Unfortunately, they had several rough patches, which led to Christine wanting to move back to Utah.
She felt so lonely and had a hard time seeing him in functioning marriages. In fact, the only one it worked with was his fourth wife, Robyn. At the end of season 16, Kody Brown told Christine Brown that he no longer wanted to be intimate with her.
He claimed that many people had marriages without romance, but that wasn’t what she wanted. She packed up all her stuff and is now thriving in Utah. Still, divorce is something that needed to be addressed in the tell-all.
