Below Deck Med: Hannah’s Former Co-workers Sent Her Love

Crew members of the Below Deck franchise expressed their support for main stew Hannah Ferrier of Below Deck Med after she was set on fire on the series.

Bosun Malia White warned Captain Sandy Yawn that Ferrier had prescription valium and a CBD pen on board. But Yawn told Ferrier that she had fired her because she considered Hannah a safety risk to the crew and guests.

Stew Courtney Skippon from Below Deck reported that she was traveling on anti-anxiety medication and it hasn’t been a problem. “Jokes aside, I travel with two types of anxiety medication (one to knock me out for the entire duration of a 16 + hr plane flight and another for occasional general anxiety),” Skippon tweeted during the episode.

Skippon also included a photo of the seafarers’ exam certificate. “Both were unveiled with recipes when I took my seafarer’s exam & the Dr. said (direct quote) ‘pfft’.” She added, “The doctor did not document either prescription on my certificate and I travel with them loosely and prescription-less like [Lisa Rinna of Beverly Hills Real Housewives]”.

“I think the biggest problem with this whole story is the suggestion that there was something to ‘hide’,” Skippon tweeted. Adding that revealing the medication might not have happened to Hannah. “I always bring a bottle of Ativan to fly (prescribed to me, but without a paper prescription). I don’t take it often, but travel with it for my peace of mind (especially if I [now] have to shout 18 hours a day for making a banana daiquiri wrong)”.

“If there are crew members on board who plunder and misuse other people’s medicines, the boat has bigger problems,” she continued in her story. “Doesn’t someone in the service industry have panic attacks?”

Former stallion Jamie Jason was sad because of what she saw at the show. “What I’m going to do is save my feelings about last night’s episodes, I’ve got so much I want to say absolutely, but I’ll tell you I definitely cried!” Jason shared on Instagram along with a picture.

“I also have no f**king desire to watch a show that ruins people and their vibrant hood, and also makes a mockery of guests. I get it, it’s entertainment that we’ve all drawn our lives away on board, but sht man the lengths people will go for ratings and emmys at the expense of another man’s exploitation is sickening.” She sent Hannah Ferrier to add her love, “You’ve achieved and all that shit you’ve been driving by cause hunnnnnyyyy look at you know, THRIVING!”

Stew and new business partner Anastasia Surmava was also watching and tweeting during the episode. “If you’re scared, you can work in the hunting industry! Don’t let this discourage you,” she shared. Surmava also shared a photo of Ferrier’s valium box, which showed the recipe. She added, “Okay! It wasn’t marijuana… it’s CBD. Which is not illegal. I’m a big supporter of CBD.”
