Below Deck Med: The Struggle Is Real

Aesha Scott talks about the battle she had to fight to find her place among the Below Deck Meditteranean Season 5 cast. The second stew came in after Hannah Ferrier was fired, Tom Checketts had just replaced chef Kiko Loran, and Bugsy Drake was promoted to chef stew. It was an intense time for the crew and a tricky situation for Aesha to walk in.

Aesha recently spoke candidly about what it was like to join Broow Deck Med in the midst of the chaos and revealed more details about the cast.

Below Deck Med: The Struggle Is Real

By the time Aesha came aboard, a tight bond and couple had already been formed. Everyone except Peter Hunziker, edited out of Bravo’s show, was a couple, or at least flirting like a couple.

Aesha Scott felt like the odd man out, not only because of the couple, but also because of the attitude of the cast. Fans of the show know that Aesha doesn’t have a filter. It turned out that he didn’t fit in with the crew of Wellington.

“You’re always used to meeting new people and things like that, so I find that really easy to slip into the crew. But for whatever reason this season, the crew I just found, had just the s**tiest banter and, like, I couldn’t really have been like a good back and forth with everyone,” Aesha shared with Entertainment Tonight.

The second stew isn’t sure what it was about the cast personalities of Season 5, but they were hard for her to get along with. Aesha has worked in the world of yachting in recent years, so it’s no problem being part of a crew mid-charter season.

It didn’t take long for her to adjust to the crew. Sadly, that wasn’t the case when she joined the cast of Below Deck Mediterranean for the second time.. The battle even got Aesha Scott drunk from the recent episode because she felt like an outsider and was homesick as well.
