We have been following the Duggar family for years thanks to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar who have put their 19 children in the spotlight. But now it’s Jill Duggar who’s making the news. Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, are notoriously on the outs with the rest of Jill’s family. And Derick continues to speak his truth about what’s really going on behind closed doors.
Despite Derick spilling her tea, Jill Duggar seems to remain out of the picture. And she recently posted some pictures of her family having some fun on their son’s birthday. Although Derick has previously noted that Jill doesn’t seem to have the best relationship with Jim Bob, she has just posted proof that she is still on good terms with Michelle. Here’s what we noticed.
Counting On: Jill Duggar’s Husband, Derick, İs Speaking Out About A Duggar Family Rift
Derick has been making the Duggars look bad for years. While he and Jill are notoriously no longer welcome on TLC’s Counting On, he hasn’t finished talking about the famous family. In late 2019, he went to Instagram to share some information with his followers. Among the comments in one of his posts, he noted that Jill Duggar cannot enter her parents’ home without Jim Bob’s permission. And he also said that Jill was forced to keep going around the TLC even though she didn’t want to anymore.
Now, Derick is still talking about the Duggars – and he also said he’d like to write a book to set the story straight. Jill’s husband spoke with YouTuber Without a Crystal Ball, and noted that he and Jill are no longer linked to her parents’ ministry, the Institute of the Fundamental Principles of Life. He also said that the TLC gave him and Jill zero choice when and how to announce life’s great events.
Counting On: Jill Duggar Noted She’s Spending Time With Her İn-laws For Israel’s Birthday
Jill didn’t mention anything about a possible estrangement from her family. We know that she, Derick and their two sons rarely attend Duggar family events or Jim Bob and Michelle’s weekly meetings. But they seem to be very close to Derick’s side of the family. Jill often writes about seeing her in-laws, and it seems they even helped celebrate Jill’s son’s birthday.
“Happy 5th birthday Israel! Although the current state with the Coronavirus has changed our plans, we are counting our blessings and trying to make lemonade with lemons”, Jill wrote her post on Instagram on April 6th.
Jill then explained how she and Derick helped make Israel’s birthday special despite the frightening coronavirus (COVID-19). “We had a special birthday breakfast and this afternoon we are planning a drive to say goodbye to friends before going to Derick’s mom and stepdad’s for a simple party in their garden (keeping our distance).
I actually viewed the Without A Crystal Ball Livestream when Derrick was interviewed. My opinion about him has totally changed.
I used to watch 19 Kids & Counting. Jill was my least favorite Duggar daughter and when she got with Derrick, I couldn’t stand him either.

I’m happy to see that Jill isn’t completely cutoff from her Mom and sisters. I’m also thrilled to see that Jill is actually taking the steps necessary to become independent with her husband and kids instead of staying a puppet in her Dad’s grand scheme to make millions off of his children.
