Austin Forsyth and Joy Anna Duggar may have saved quite a bit by buying a house from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar for only $10, but that doesn’t mean they’ll throw money away on the furniture. The young couple, expecting another baby in the summer, recently uploaded a home tour to their YouTube channel. Although their home is undoubtedly beautiful, family followers have noticed that Joy and Austin Forsyth could probably use some decorating tips.

The tour of Joy-Anna and Austin’s house made one thing clear: the family is not passionate about wall decorations. The small house, which seems to include three beautiful bedrooms, has almost no wall art and minimal furniture. Of course, the couple is not a couple of embellishments, but the family’s followers have noticed that the house seems to lack personality altogether.

However, Joy Anna Duggar pointed out that her style is a little more natural and minimalist than others. She said she likes green, and that several plants are scattered throughout the house. However, fans felt like the tour of the house was a failure, and wondered why she would have to film the tour before the house was completely rebuilt. It seems, however, that for Joy and Austin Forsyth, their house is pretty much complete.

While the family’s followers mostly agreed with the lack of furniture in the family living room, several people pointed out how sad Gideon’s room was. For many parents, decorating a child’s room is a fun activity that injects personality into a simple space. This is not the case with Joy Anna and Austin.

The room contained a simple children’s bed and a dresser. A solitary wall decoration can be seen hanging, although it is not a pretty and sunny picture. Joy Anna and Austin instead decorated the young man’s room with horns on a plaque, which, some fans have pointed out, is more suitable for a hunting lodge than the bedroom of a 2-year-old boy. The toys were also scattered on the floor, without a recognizable storage system to contain them.

After spending a year in a camper, the family’s followers were happy to see Joy and Austin put down roots in a real home. Fans shouldn’t get too attached to the house, though. Joy and Austin are not planning on staying there for long.

Joy Anna noticed that the renovations they completed, including the kitchen renovation, were done with resale in mind. The couple, for example, opted for granite worktops because they increase the resale value. Joy Anna says they plan to stay in the house for about five years before they put it on the market. Considering they’ve paid almost nothing for the house, eventually they’ll make a nice profit, too. But there’s no telling where they’ll go next.
