Kody Brown never felt that Janelle and Christine Brown followed his pandemic protocols correctly. He believed they completely ignored them from the beginning. The only wife and children who were obedient were Robyn Brown and her five.

During the first part of Sister Wives: One on One, Kody Brown and her rules were further examined. She revealed how she felt about each wife’s behavior. Kody also shared that Janelle Brown was playing by her rules but it was her children who were not obeying.

According to Kody Brown, it was his doctor who helped establish his strict rules. He claims that he was trying to prevent a child from dying. However, he was extremely over the top with what he expected his children and family to do. They were so used to being together when they wanted to be. This was a completely new experience for everyone.

For Robyn Brown, she had a family that was ready to huddle and do whatever it took to stay together. She also knew that her children were so impressionable that they needed a father around. At one point in the season, she said she would do whatever it took to have Kody in her home.

As for Janelle Brown, she had two sons who were out in the world. Gabe was in college and had a girlfriend. She knew he wouldn’t stop seeing her and didn’t expect him to. As for her son Garrison, he had moved home after finishing the National Guard. He was working and saving money for a house and was close to making his down payment. Kody argued that the boys were too social. By the sixteenth season, he wanted them kicked out of the house because he considered them a risk to everyone.

Janelle Brown refused and said she chose them over Kody. This shocked him and he wouldn’t even listen to the boys when they pleaded with him. They wanted their family and their father, but all he heard was disobedience. This played over into the one-on-one interview where Kody called out both Christine and Janelle Brown.
