The Bachelor: Colton Underwood Hopes To Raise Awareness

Season 23 of The Bachelor star Colton Underwood remained in the public eye after he found love with contestant Cassie Randolph and left reality shows behind. From the promotion of the cystic fibrosis charity that launched a professional football player during his time to appearances at various #BachelorNation events, Underwood is well known and is a former Bachelor viewer who has continued to follow. So, when Underwood announced on March 20, 2020 that he tested positive for the coronavirus, it quickly made headlines.

The athlete, who is 28 years old and lives in California, shared the news through an Instagram video. “I want to let you know: I’m 28 years old, I consider myself quite healthy, I train regularly, I eat healthy, and I became symptomatic a few days ago, I received my test results today, and they are positive,” he said in the candid clip.

Here is everything else Colton had to say about the positive COVID-19 test.

Colton Underwood kicked off his Instagram video with a warning to young people who might not take the coronavirus seriously, saying: “So, I guess the reason I’m sharing this is not to cause fear or panic, but to encourage you to stay home, do your part, take care of yourself, take care of each other.  Then he became sincere about his symptoms, revealing, “He kicked my ass, to put it bluntly enough. The important thing is that I can’t even climb a flight of stairs without being out of breath or go to the bathroom without having to sit down because I’m exhausted”.

Colton Underwood is currently resting at Cassie Randolph’s parents’ house in Huntington Beach, which is good and bad. “I’m lucky to have them,” he explained. “Unfortunately, that means we’re all together at this point. So we’ll keep you posted, but we’re in a good mood.”

Countless #BachelorNation stars have taken Underwood’s place to wish him well, including Bachelorette star Becca Kufrin. “Get in shape,” he told his reality TV ex. “Jump the stairs and stay on the couch, buddy!” Arie Luyendyk Jr. rang the bell. “Dang dude stay safe and feel better, keep us posted.”
