The Sun spoke exclusively with Derick about his relationship with Jill’s family. In the interview, Derick reveals, “Because our visit to the Duggar home has been limited and that’s where they and their spouses meet, we haven’t been able to see as many other families as we would like, so it’s difficult.
Derick goes on to say, “We try to invite siblings and sisters-in-law as much as possible. So, based on that statement, it seems the rest of the family is comfortable with Jill and Derick. The rift seems to involve Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

Counting On: More Details About Derick’s Tell-all Book About The Duggar Family
In the interview, Derick Dillard also mentions his tell-all book. He mentioned it a few times in passing, but it’s not clear when it will be published. Derick says: “Although the book will be inspired by our journey, the goal is that it will be relational in the sense that it will examine themes that have persecuted people for centuries.
Then he adds, “Our story is difficult, but it’s not unique.
Duggar’s fans suspect that it will take some time before his book is ready for publication. After all, he is currently in law school and the father of two children. Although he may be working on it right now, he may not have much time to do so.
In response to Derick revealing that a book is in the works, Jim Bob is prepping the lawyers. A source revealed that Jim Bob has found several “big lawyers.” These lawyers are said to be familiar with TLC contracts. The source also claims that Jim Bob will be “done” once Derick’s book comes out.
As for the book, Duggar fans seem to be interested. For that reason, it looks like Derick will continue to introduce his fans while he works on it. And as soon as he can think of a release date or any information, he should share it.
Please please stop writing the book and show respect to your wife and Jim Bob! No family is perfect. It’s not good to even think about dividing your marriage from The Dugger family.
He absolutely SHOULD write a book. Not only about his experience in dealing with TLC, but about his experience with this cult of a family ran by Jim Bob and his mentally unstable wife. While I don’t agree with Derick and Jill’s views on the LBGTQ+ community or really much else, I’d buy the book because it means to support a woman who escaped such bs. Jim Bob and Michelle brainwashed, abused, and let their children be abused. Fuck them. Can’t really blame the kids for having such backward ass views when they were raised by two people so into drinking the kool aid.
