By the time she was 20 years old, she weighed around 500 kilos. Unfortunately, five years later she lost her mother and had to care for her younger sister, who eventually married.

When she finally arrived in Houston to visit “Dr. Now”, she weighed 692 kilos. According to TV’s Ace, Octavia had very serious mobility problems. She took all the weight loss instructions on “My 600-lb Life” seriously and lost a dramatic amount of pounds. Relapse is a big problem for people who have had bariatric surgery. But, Octavia stuck to her healthy lifestyle and lost about 236 kilos. She dropped her weight to an impressive 456 kilos.
