While there has been no official announcement that Sister Wives will return for another season, a certain member of the Brown family has fans breathing a sigh of relief, as it seems a 17th season is definitely on the way. Paedon Brown, the only son of Kody and Christine Brown, told TikTok users that his mother will indeed appear in the 17th season, which they began filming earlier this year, when he confirmed speculation in his comments on the platform, CheatSheet reported. This is important to note because Kody Brown, Meri, Janelle and Robyn all currently live in Flagstaff, Arizona, while Christine continues to live in a gorgeous home in Utah, The Sun reports.

In anticipation of the premiere of season 17, fans of the show will be able to watch a spin-off web series dedicated to Christine’s cooking, available on TLC.

As any fan of Sister Wives will tell you, it’s safe to say that the Brown family has changed over the years. Unfortunately for the Browns, the changes have not always been positive. 

In a clip from season 16, Christine Brown revealed in November 2021 that her and Kody Brown’s marriage is “hard, but I never wanted the kind of marriage that I have now”. In the same month, Christine revealed via Instagram that after more than 25 years together, they were splitting up.

As for her first husband Meri, Insider reported that in 2014, Kody and Meri legally divorced to adopt his second wife Robyn’s children from a previous marriage. Meri expressed to Robyn last season that the two of them seem to have more of a friendly type of relationship rather than a romantic one. But she is not the only one who is seemingly distanced from Kody.

As for the other women, Janelle and Robyn Brown, Us Weekly reports that Kody and Robyn continue to spend a lot of quality time together, with one source telling the publication in January that “the others are in their own world, living their own lives.”. While according to Janelle’s Instagram, Kody’s other wife seems to be enjoying time in Flagstaff, Arizona, with her children and friends, without seeing her husband. Guess we’ll have to wait for season 17 to get more details on the current state of the Browns’ marriage.
