Luckily ever after came sooner than expected for Bachelorette lead Clare Crawley, who left Season 16 halfway through with the man of her dreams, former NFL player Dale. While rumors that Clare Crawley quit Dale Moss after only 12 days of filming continued to run for the premiere of the season, the couple’s dazzling romance culminated in a dramatic engagement that aired on the November 5, 2020 episode of the show. And while the early departure may have meant missing the traditional hometown dates, the couple wasted no time in packing their bags and jetting off to visit each other’s home states.
According to E! Online, Cali-born Clare Crawley took Dale Moss on “the ultimate tour of Sacramento,” while he showed her around South Dakota. In Sioux Falls, they cruise around Dale’s old high school before going out to dinner and meeting some members of the Moss clan!
It seems that the former Bachelorette received the family seal of approval because she later appeared on an Instagram photo with her fiancé and his sister Robyn, appropriately titled “Fam Bam”. Now that Clare Crawley and Dale Moss have learned something from each other’s past, it is time to look forward to the future. Specifically, where will they live now that the cameras have stopped rolling?
In an interview with People in 2020, Clare revealed that she and Dale are already house hunting in Sacramento, California, so they can stay close to her mother, who lives with dementia. “Now that my mother is sick, it’s important for me to be here and Dale Moss understands and respects that,” Clare Crawley explained. “He told me that wherever we are, it’s at home.
So for now, that’s what we’ll do.” Dale Moss, who currently lives in New York, has repeated Clare Crawley in an episode of Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “Even though I have roots in New York, I can be where I need to be when I need to be,” he shared. “We’re building a life. We’re building a foundation. We want to have a home here.
Even before the official meeting on the set, the couple bonded through their shared family values. Clare Crawley, who had admitted that she was stalking her prospective candidates on social media before she started filming, told Vulture that Dale Moss immediately stuck with her. “I happened to look at his social media and it was close to his mother’s anniversary and I could just tell so much and my heart was so heavy for him,” Clare Crawley said. Dale Moss’ mother, Delores, died tragically in 2017, while Clare’s mother lives in a care facility in Sacramento. Once Clare and Dale settle together in Cali, they will be able to plan their own family sooner rather than later. Congratulations to the happy couple!
