The 23rd season of “LPBW” finally wraps up another toxic season, with Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff clashing over the farm. In addition, a lot of old animosities spilled over. It’s not just the toxicity between the former couple that has fans on edge, but the entire nature of the TLC series.
Fans Witness Major Changes In Season 23 Of ‘LPBW.’
Over the course of several seasons, fans saw Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff clash repeatedly over the farm. Recall that she wanted to buy out his share and seemed to resent him. Anyway, he dragged his feet, but eventually the deal fell through and he left town for a new place. However, TLC managed to make almost a whole season out of the fact that he collects and takes forever to move his stuff out of the old house.
After Amy Roloff married Chris Marek, LPBW fans were hoping for some happier scenes to finally arrive. But back in October, they got their first inkling that something had changed. It came when Tori announced that she and Zach had moved to Washington. Of course, fans now know all about the huge drama between Matt and Zach when she wouldn’t sell him part of the farm.
Matt Roloff seems to have a lot of say in what is filmed and how. Was it his idea to put so much toxic negativity on the show? This season many people have accused him of selling part of the farm. And yet this is nothing new. Last season showed that Zach and Tori had been discussing a possible sale for a long time. And yet season 23 keeps making a huge procession out of this big non-event.
LPBW fans saw that in the comments of one post, Matt told someone that they watch “too much TV”. What did he mean by that, other than implying that much of it is all scripted? With Tori and Zach at odds with their dad, and Amy and Matt still toxic, Caryn Chandler seems to be adding to the ugly tension. But is the drama really worth the stress if this isn’t a real situation?
